Whilst you may be under the impression that your brand new uPVC doors are going to last for decades to come, if you don’t give them a little TLC every now and then, you could be in for a nasty surprise somewhere down the road.

UPVC Patio doors, as a general rule, need very little attention, but they have to be sealed to the edges of the opening properly and this is normally achieved by using a silicone sealant.
These sealants can perish over time by becoming brittle and inflexible and when this happens the seal between the house & the doors can fail allowing water to seep in around the edges causing damp damage to the house interior.
By simply visually inspecting the seals on a half yearly basis for signs of damage you can spot when things start to fail and have the seals re-done for a few pounds.
